Poem: Fresh
I’d forgotten what the weight felt like.
How I could feel it deep in my throat.
Trying to swallow and then choking
On the unnecessary nastiness.
That burden is a wonder, really.
And though I know it is cruel
I can’t help but continue the training
Knowing that (just like the girl said
last night): by no means am I you.
How I could feel it deep in my throat.
Trying to swallow and then choking
On the unnecessary nastiness.
That burden is a wonder, really.
And though I know it is cruel
I can’t help but continue the training
Knowing that (just like the girl said
last night): by no means am I you.
